Don’t Say Things Like That!

I saw something posted on social media today that said “Liberalism is a mental disorder” and it actually hurt my feelings.

NO, I am NOT a liberal, not do I have liberal-leaning ideology.

However…

I have some dear friends who are liberals, and they aren’t anything close to what you see on the news or social media. They don’t riot or hurt people or destroy property or set things on fire or anything of the sort. As a matter of fact, they have a lot of heart and a lot of love for people.

A lot.

Those people doing the rioting and dressing as women’s reproductive parts, the ones who have destroyed property and actually have gone so far as to hurt other people…THEY are the ones with a mental disorder, at least in my opinion. It is sad and hurtful to see.

You can’t just generalize people, no matter what your own opinions are.

Jesus died for everyone.

21 Verses for When You Can’t Sleep: Find Peace for Your Soul

As long as I can remember, I have had trouble sleeping. My Mom even said that as a child, it was the same way. She would sometimes spend a good portion of the night and even some of the morning trying to get me to fall asleep, to no avail.

I’m not sure what causes something like that, even at such a young age, but I’m one of those people who lays down and the thoughts start flying like never before.

BUT…

Once I began to memorize and apply Scripture to my mind, I have seen so much of that change. Where I once used to lay down and remain awake for 3-4 hours, I now try to stay awake long enough to cover everyone in prayer.

The Bible says that out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks, but it goes the same way for the mind. If you work to put His Word in your heart, He is faithful to bring it to remembrance and that “peace that passes all understanding” works more wonders than I could ever describe with words.

Thank you, Father, for blessing me with Your Word and guiding me to use it when necessary!

Many of us have been there. Middle of the night. Darkness surrounds. All is quiet. All should be at peace. Except we can’t sleep.
